Fundraising and Gardening

Thanks, everybody for supporting our recent Halloween party.  We “played” to a packed house, so to speak, of 150 adults and children.  We were really touched by your support!! Everyone had a great, safe, and fun time.  Thank you!

We also hope to have your support  with our fundraising campaign for 2019.  In order for us to operate in 2020, we depend on fundraising efforts. Rather than hold an expensive event with heavy expenses, we are holding an on-line fundraiser entitled “Stronger Together.”

Membership revenue is critical for us, and we are so grateful to everyone for their support, but the money we receive for memberships does not pay the entire operating budget of $80,000. Membership revenue is about 10% of that total.

Please consider a contribution to our online fundraiser.  Membership support is one of the best ways to secure our library’s future!

Master Gardening Class # 2.  Join us Saturday, November 16 from 10 am – 12:30 pm, when Jaime Pellicier will be our special guest.  Mr. Pellicier teaches Aquaponics and Ecological Hydroponics.  Learn how to build a compact ecological hydroponic system.  This is a great way to garden in small spaces and maybe start a business.  $30 with all proceeds for our Library Community Garden project.  Spaces are limited, please call to reserve your space.  787-789-4600.

November Closings:  Closed Monday, November 11 in observation of  Veteran’s Day. Closed Monday, November 25- November 30 for Thanksgiving recess. During this time we will be painting the small section of the building housing our conference room, paperback sales, kitchen, and rest areas.
