1. Use GOODSEARCH as your search engine. Every search earns us 1 cent! That adds up…our last check from them totaled $83.21.

2. Bring us your old cell phones for recycling via GRC wireless. Every phone has a different value in donations, but all phones will be reused, keeping them out of our landfills, and that is priceless.

3. Tell a friend, colleague or family member that we still have complimentary memberships available through a grant from the Ford Motor Company. Family, Senior Citizen, and Student memberships will be offered through August 2012, with memberships good for one year.

As we welcome everyone back to the library this January 2012, we wish to inform that our regular program of classes is in place, including Kinderdance, Bilingual Storytime on Saturdays at 11 am , Art for Children, Water Color Art for Adults, Spanish and Italian Classes, Music Classes, and, of course, Yoga with Vatsi. For times, please visit the Children’s classes or Adult Classes sections or call the Library.

There is no fee and activities include a story time, arts and crafts, face painting, a special visitor, and an interactive theatrical performance at 3:15 pm.

Tenemos grandes noticias que compartir, ya que el evento fue un rotundo éxito.  Mas de 250 personas nos acompañaron para una noche de gran comida, vino, música, y una muy bien surtida subasta silente.  Extendemos nuestras muy sentidas gracias a los auspicia- dores de Cubierta Dura y Cubierta Blanda: (Cubierta Dura: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cubierta Blanda: Scotiabank, Dr. Juan J. Bayrón, Clinica Medicina Interna, y Bellarmine University).

También agradecemos a los excelentes restaurantes auspiciadores (Il Mulino New York, The Palm Restaurant, Grille 304, East Asian Bistro, Casa Lola, Pinolli Ristorante Italiano, y Sabor de México) y a nuestros tremendos auspiciadores de bebidas (Plaza Cellars, V. Suárez y Stella Artois, Mendez & Compañía, y Cristalia). El apoyo de estas compañías ha ayudado a hacer una diferencia, junto con ese gran grupo de nuestros invitados, donantes a la subasta silente, y nuestro increíble equipo de voluntarios y miembros de la Junta de Directores, y cada uno que envió un donativo, contribuyó tiempo y talento, o compró un artículo de la subasta silente. 

Todavía estamos trabajando con los números, pero podemos informar que nuestro ingreso bruto EXCEDIÓ $20,000.00…eso es el doble del ingreso bruto del año pasado.  Mantente informado para nuestro número final.

Every month our Library gives thanks to our supporters. In November we raise the level of thanks not only because of Thanksgiving, but because in November we celebrate our principal fundraiser of the year. This year we reshaped our traditionally successful Wine and Cheese fundraiser into a Food and Wine Fest held at the library.

There is great news to share as the event was an outstanding success! More than 250 people joined us for an evening of great food, wine, music, and a well stocked Silent Auction. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Event’s Hard Cover and Paperback sponsors (Hard Cover: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Paperback: Scotiabank, Dr. Juan J. Bayrón, Clinica Medicina Interna, and Bellarmine University).

We also give thanks to our excellent restaurant sponsors (Il Mulino New York, The Palm Restaurant, Grille 304, East Asian Bistro, Casa Lola, Pinolli Ristorante Italiano, and Sabor de México) and to our tremendous beverage sponsors (Plaza Cellars, V. Suárez and Stella Artois, Méndez & Company, and Cristalia). The support of these amazing companies has helped to make such a difference along with that of the tremendous support of our guests, our Silent Auction donors, our incredible staff of volunteers and board members, and to everyone who sent in a donation, contributed time and talent, or who purchased a Silent Auction item.

While we are still working on the numbers, we can report that our gross income will EXCEED $20,000.00….that’s double last year’s gross income!!! Stay tuned for the final number!
