Our library will be closed Monday, January 21 in honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday. We share the thought that Martin Luther King, Jr. asks of us all: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”

On that note, we wish to share this update about our art and chess classes. Every Tuesday and Thursday, our art teacher, Cuca Torrech, offers art and creative projects. The Tuesday class is from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm and is for children ages 6 – 8. The Thursday class meets from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm and is for children ages 9 – 15. For more information, please call Cuca at 787-633-5787.

Chess Classes: We have spaces available for children and adults who wish to learn the time honored sport of chess. Chess is famous for many reasons–at our library we hear from parents that classes with our teacher Jonathan Torres have led to increased concentration and focus in school work…happy students=happy parents! Jonathan teaches at our library on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays. For more information and to arrange for your class time, please call Jonathan at 787-455-1546.
