Summer Reading Contest and Summer Hours
Our Summer Reading Contest “Reading for the Community” is on track and we are thrilled to have 30 participants so far! There is still time to join.
Here is how it works: Every book that our young readers (ages 3 – 16) read from either our digital branch (digitalsjcl.org) or from our books here on Avenida Apolo counts as 1 coupon.
At the end of the contest, the number of coupons in our reading jar represents the funds we will have to donate up to our budgeted amount of $500. We will split these funds 50/50 with the Library and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR).
BGCPR will be using their half to create a reading area at one of their 11 clubs on island. With its half, our Library will purchase new books for our children’s and young adult collections.
Every coupon for our donation jar also counts for a raffle of 4 reading tablets!!!! Our contest ends Saturday, July 17.
For more details, please see our flyer below or call us (787-789-4600).
Please share this email with a friend and help us reach our $500 goal!
