Thank you one and all for your responses to our updated coronavirus protocols.  We have read with care and attention each response.  We all know we are stronger together.

At this point in time, as a library housed in a government building, we must follow the executive orders.  We will require for ages 12 and up proof of COVID-19 vaccination or accept a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours of your visit.  We will require facemasks that cover the nose and mouth and without valves, as well as the use of hand sanitizer (yours or ours) upon entering the building.  We will also continue to register visits with names and phone numbers.  Children 11 and under are welcome with an accompanying adult with proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours of the visit to the library.

We will also offer a “take out library” option for those people who cannot enter the building.  This delivery service will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm and Saturdays from  12 pm – 3 pm.  You may phone in your book orders during our operating hours.  Please do not leave a message for this service on the library answering machine.  You may order up to a maximum of eight books per take out.  One of our volunteers will bring the order to your car.  Our catalog is available at catalogsjcl.org.

And, our virtual branch is open 24/7at digitalsjcl.org.

Thank you, everyone.  We will get through this challenging time together.
