Covid-19 Protocol, Story Time 03/16

COVID-19 Protocol Update. As children are at our library, we will require our patrons and visitors to use face masks for the next thirty days (April 11).  In accordance with the Governor’s executive order of March 10, 2022, we will no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Story and craft time:  Join us on Wednesday, March 16 for another story and craft time. Come and see what the ‘buzz” is about anytime between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm.  Children ages 3-8 will hear the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar and make a foam caterpillar, bumble bee, ladybug or butterfly.

March is Women’s History Month. Celebrate  and recognize  women, girls and their stories of beauty, independence and strength.  We have something for everyone from our collections, including our American Association of University Women San Juan Chapter, our Arab American collection, books we purchased with funds from Picture Book Summit and our collection of autobiographies and biographies.

Reading Workshop/National Library Week: Save the date for our April 23 celebration of National Library Week.  We will have a workshop with two authors from the publishing house Editorial Raíces.  Joining us that day will be children’s books authors Sandra Rivera (11 am with the book Los caballitos de marse mudan de coral)  and  Mayra Leticia Ortiz Padua (1 pm with the book Luna musical).  Stay tuned for more details.
