Reminder:   We are closed on Monday, September 5 in observation of Labor Day.
 
We invite patrons 40 years of age and up to our new book club.  This lively group meets on the third Thursday of the month.  The next meeting is September 15 from1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.  No need to read the same book, as everyone chooses a title to discuss.  This strategy has had a wonderful response!  
 
We are also the site of a new creative writing club in English for homeschoolers.  For ages 13 – 18, this program will be offered for free on the 1st and 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm.  The teacher is Cristina “Kiki” Morales.  She asks that everyone bring a notebook and pen or pencil.  Questions?  Please call Kiki at 787-525-5786.
 
SAVE THE DATE:  San Juan Community Library turns 35 years old this October.  Celebrate our special anniversary with us here at the library on Saturday, October 22.  We will host an open house that day.  There will be a complimentary catered luncheon with live music at 12 pm.
