Thanks to everyone who helped to make our Book and Bake Sale this past Saturday a tremendous success!  In four short hours we raised $543!!  The delicious goodies at our bake sale raised $163 and we sold an astounding $380 in used books at $5 per bag.

Many people left with VERY full bags. We believe that over 150 people came through our doors this past Saturday.  We also estimate that 760 books were sold. We had many new members and renewing members, as well.  It was wonderful to learn that many people were visiting our library for the first time. Thanks to our graphic designer and FB and Instagram director for a great job!  Thanks also to our webmaster/email director who keeps us up to date with our communications.  We are a very blessed nonprofit, indeed!

We also thank author and story teller Lizzette Martinez for a special storytime.  Storytelling is an important part of the library and reading experience, and we are always grateful for these special moments. Lizzette also offered a craft project to go along with the reading of her book Puerto Rico en el coraz√≥n.

It was truly a great day!  Thanks to you, our members, visitors, volunteers, and bakers for your support.  You are all stars in our books!

Reminder:  We are closed on Monday, February 20 in observation of Day of the Leaders of Puerto Rico and Presidents’ Day .
