Welcome back to your library

And, Welcome back to your library,  everyone!  Hope you all had a great vacation.  We are back to our regular hours.  

And, although we are noting Back to School, we are thankful that our local weather is perfect!  So, step out and stop by to pick up a great read at your library!  We have recently added new titles to both our bricks and mortar and digital branches.

Back to School Fest:   Join us on Saturday, August 19th for our “Back to School Fest.”   10:30 am – 1:00 pm.  

  •  11 am Storytime and Art Project:   “Let Art Bloom in Your Heart.”   Children and Young Adults, ages 3 – 10

This activity is a part of the Young Ambassador Program of the Smithsonian Institution.  It will be led by Danielis Morales, our library youth volunteer who interned this summer at the Smithsonian through the National Museum of the American Latino. Danielis has selected  Georgina Lazaros’s El flamboyán amarillo for her special storytime and art project.  

Other Back to School activities include:  

  • All Sales Books, $5 a Bag  
  • Blast from the Past (BFP) Memberships:  All levels just $2 for the next year.  Come early, ten memberships will be available.
  • Amnesty for all book fines.  One Day Only!
  • Cake and Juice at 12 pm
